ABOUT US

Cast and Wood is a family story at its core — a father-and-daughter team driven by a shared love of making things properly, by hand.

After more than a decade working side by side in the construction industry, Mark and his daughter Hannah set out in 2019 to create something more personal. Something slower. Something made to last. In Mark’s workshop, timber offcuts from past projects and sustainably sourced wood are carefully selected and transformed into solid, beautifully crafted pieces designed for real, everyday use.

At the heart of Cast and Wood is a simple mission: to bring wooden chopping boards back into homes — not as disposable kitchen accessories, but as hardworking, long-lasting essentials. Boards that age gracefully, tell a story, and become part of family routines for years to come.

From robust chopping boards and beautifully finished serving platters to handcrafted kitchen utensils and seasonal pieces, every item is made with the same attention to detail, care, and respect for the material. Nothing rushed. Nothing mass-produced.

Hannah brings a modern edge to the workshop, combining design ideas and laser engraving with her dad’s traditional craftsmanship — proving that old skills and new technology can work beautifully together.

Cast and Wood exists for people who value quality over convenience, handmade over factory-made, and products built to last rather than be replaced. These are pieces made for kitchens, homes, and families — created to be used, loved, and passed on.

Welcome to Cast and Wood — where family, craftsmanship, and a love of real wood come together.
